Biography

Macks began working in record production full-time in 2009 before embarking on many years of self-experimentation with analogue and digital recording equipment.

Macks is extremely knowledgeable with many genres of music and possesses the talent to make tracks sound unique and modern.

Macks has worked with Matthew Tong (Bloc Party), Young Legionnaire (Wichita), Henry Clark of the Rumble Strips (Records Records Records), Wet Paint (Records Records Records), Kids In Glass Houses (RoadRunner) XX Teens (Mute Records) and most currently with his own existing band Many Things (Dew Process/Universal)

He has his own recording studio in Central London, Rex Studio. Since 2009 he has worked here following his passion for songwriting, sonics and music production. He has worked with many bands and artists as a producer/engineer and/or writer.

Coming from a live music background, debuting in The Objects Macks has since played with many groups including Xerox Teens and Ratty Rat Rat a.k.a Is Tropical. Macks is currently playing and is recording with his new band Many Things and has recently embarked on UK/European and Australian tours with bands such as Panic! at the Disco, The Polyphonic Spree and Bloc Party amongst others.

An artist in his own right, Macks released his debut LP 'Friends' in 2011 (Records Records Records). Critically lauded, tracks such as "Hairspray" have been featured in runway shows in Paris and New York for Dior Homme, Gwen Stefani.

Macks has more strings to his bow than just music - he has a Fine Arts
degree from Central St. Martin's College, played a gun-toting tribesman in a film adaption of a popular novel and briefly modelled for Tommy Hilfiger.

He is also a thoroughly nice guy.
